Anna Herbert and Brian Larrabee are the co-founders of the kid leadership non-profit, Playground Of Dreams (POD).  POD was born out of their belief in kids,  in their love, in their freedom, their joy.  POD is to  inspire us all to live the life of our dreams, to foster their creativity, leadership, and unique purpose in the world.

These POD  kids produced and created  “The Coolest Variety Show on Earth”.  This show is unique in that kids from all walks of life are going to experience life-defining moments. Their unique gift is shared with the rest of the world.

Happy Easter

to everyone and especially to the

volunteers that made a special

Easter Event for those on Skid Row.

The Los Angeles Mission held their annual Easter Event

and celebs and volunteers all come out on Friday to make a very special day for those in need of help and to give them hope.

A thank you to all of the celebs and all the volunteers for making a wonderful day for those in need.

1,000 Easter baskets and hygiene kits as well as 2,000 pairs of shoes, donated by etnies, were all  given away to thousands of area homeless.  There was also a 1,200 square foot washing area staffed by medical personnel and volunteers. Foot washing, which has both spiritual and practical applications for the homeless, was provided by the Los Angeles Christian Health Centers

On Thursday March 7, 2013, it was a night where laughter was the best medicine for  ‘Kidz 4 Kidz’ Comedy For A Cause to benefit ‘Make A Film Foundation’ .  MAFF teams children who have serious life-threatening medical conditions with film industry professionals to help them create short film legacies. They grant children with various medical challenges their film dreams. These children get to write and star in their own movie with the help of noted actors, writers and directors.
Zach who is an actor,  voice actor, singer really enjoyed the show and said he has done some comedy himself.  Check out his video here of his “Big Weezy’s Bac 2 Skool Show”

Young actors Tarik Ellinger, Zach Callison and Zachary Alexander Rice helping distribute toys to kids in need at St Vincent De Paul Toy Distribution

Actor Tarik Ellinger who just turned 9 years old on the 14th of December took part in distributing toys to those less fortunate at the St. Vincent st vincent st vincent 1

CHiPs for Kids Holiday Toy Distribution was held at Society of St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in LA.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Council of Los Angeles, in collaboration with the California Highway Patrol and its ‘CHiPs for Kids’ Holiday Toy Drive, distributed new Christmas toys to children on Saturday, December 15 at the Society’s Thrift Store at 210 N. Avenue 21 in Los Angeles.

Santa Claus was on hand to pass out the toys. In addition, award winning actor/producer Vincent De Paul, who bears the same name as the Society’s patron saint, and NORKY the Peneagle, the ‘official mailbird’ and ‘goodwill ambassador’ of the North Pole, along with Actor Zach Callison, Actor Zachary Alexander Rice, Actor Tarik Ellinger and Actress Lisa Dair Owens, all on hand to support the toy distribution.

 

Norky the Peneagle is taking care of the naughty and nice list for Santa this year. Norky is also the star of the children’s book‘Christmas with Norky (the Adventure Begins…),’ created by author Steve Allgeier.

Celebrity Stuff-a-thon brings in young and old to help fosters kids in need, Leigh Allen Baker, John Littlefield, Zach Callison, Lia Marie Johnson, Joanne Kruppa, and more

At CBS Radford Studios last Saturday, over 50 Hollywood celebs, as young as 8 years old, came came together for a day of stuffing duffel bags full of toys, books, games, CDs, DVDs, blankets and toiletries for children in foster care. The event was sponsored by Smart Toys and benefited My Stuff Bags, which provides new belongings to hundreds of thousands of foster care kids across the country each year.
The host was, Leigh Allen Baker from Good Luck Charlie along with Julie Kertes
General Manager of NAPPA(National Parenting Publications Awards ).  Some of the celebs that came out were:  John Littlefield, Joanne Krupa, Marta Krupa, Aaron Fresh, Mark Paul Gosselaar, Julianna Rose, Jennessa Rose, Lia Marie Johnson, Kat MacNamara, Daphne Blunt, Tarik Ellinger, Zachary Alexander Rice, Zach Callison, Evan Hofer, Gina La Piana, Luke Kleintank, Anthony Wey Perez, Grant Gustin, Patricia Kara, Becky G., : Tohora Masamune, Ariana Savalas and many more.
